"Bid" farewell to the old library....

Mark your calendars!
The Plummer Library Board plans to host a silent salvage auction on Saturday June 12th from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. in the old library at 800 D St. Pieces of the old building will be for sale to the highest bidder. Items for the auction include birch cabinets, semi-antique typewriter desk, computer stands, several interior and exterior doors, windows, bathroom fixtures, air conditioner, electric furnace, wall heaters and miscellaneous accessories.
Library Friends will have a used book sale and the Lakeside Booster Club will provide barbecued hamburgers, hot dogs, salads and beverages during the auction.
If you live in the area, we hope you will join us and literally take a piece of the old library home with you. Proceeds from the auction will help with furnishings still needed for the new library. This is a great opportunity to show some community spirit and support! The old building is scheduled for demoliton the week after the auction to make room for a parking lot.

Time off for Good Behavior :)

Ms. Blogger (aka Paulina) will be taking time off work the rest of this week, so there will be no new photos posted until Monday March 22nd. Thanks to Donna for setting up the blog, but she had to give it up a couple of months ago. Progress this week includes staining of the wood beams, more drywall and HVAC work, and continuation of culture stone placement.
